Refine what it means to ‘give’ to charity.

I have chosen it because I think it is broad and a lot could potentially be achieved.
I want to see what I can achieve within a subject area in which I have not really covered before through my work.
I like using both type and image together and I think that could benefit my designs for the brief.

ASOS
Create a compelling campaign that communicates asos.com’s brand values in an inspired way; and encourages men within our target market to visit, purchase and love the brand.

I think it is going to be a challenge for me to encourage more men to shop but it is something that I would like to try and achieve and I love the website and I want to try and help them out.
I want to successfully communicate to my target audience without confusion and I want to be straight to the point.
I think the syle of my work is quite simple and suits my target audience…I do nto want to create anything too detailed!

The Feel Good Drinks
Grab everyones attention and put a smile on their face by spreading some feelgoodness.

I would like to try to successfully promote a brand I don’t think I have done anything similar to this before.
I want to improve my advertising and brand promotion skills through this brief.
I think the light heartedness is going to enhance the way in which I work and I think my personality can communicate well through my work.

I think this brief has been a real eye opener for me…the amount of skills I have developed and progressed is untrue. I think the main one that springs to mind for this in particular brief is organisation and time management and without these quite simple skills I don’t think I would have been able to complete the brief successfully…I had to really think about planning and organising my time throughout the brief making sure that I had remembered everything.
I think IWEB is something else which was very new to me but since doing this brief I have become quite knowledgeable with it and I think it helps when things go wrong because I think I learnt from quite a few mistakes!
My after effects has improved incredibly as well because when I think back to doing my silent movie I didn’t have a clue and now my skills have really enhanced and I have learnt a lot…it also helped having mike around a lot of the time because he is really patient and knows exactly what he is doing if a problem occurs.

My approaches to research where in the form of mainly the internet and blogging and I also visited a couple of tattoo parlours…as I consistently uploaded and images that were inspiration to me I could quite easily just visit my blog whenever I was stuck for ideas so I think that enhanced my development of my work, it just kept it going and running smoothly. I think throughout my work I managed to successfully consider colours, styles and communicate to the right audience and I was happy with my final outcome…I think in my own time I would like to try and animate some of my other story boards and see what they turn out like and if they communicate the message of top 10 tattoos more successfully.

I think my strengths in this project would be my animation although feedback in my crit suggested that the end of my animation was slightly better in as such you could see my skills developing throughout the animation…which in one way is good as I am achieving and getting better at it but then I think if I could do it again I would prefer it to all be to one high standard and not be noticeably different. I think I also captured the whole persona of e4 and I think I hit my target audience effectively through my message. Overall I think my time management was quite good I felt the most committed I have ever been to the course in this brief and at some points it was very stressful but I managed to successfully hand it in on time and reflect. I think overall I had a broad range of development although maybe I think I could have done more test pieces and I thoroughly analysised my aims and objectives throughout my IWEB. I also think that going to visit Alex Trochut in Barcelona really spurred me on to work hard and create my own individual style to my work!

I think that I could safely say that my weaknesses were within IWEB as I thought I was doing a really good job and aesthetically my IWEB looked to a high standard and suited the style in which I chose my top 10 but then when I came to publish my website a lot of the buttons stopped working even though they seemed fine and also I didn’t export my test pieces for the web so the majority of those didn’t work too so I had to go back into it and redo all of that and to be honest I think some of it got lost and I regret not setting myself enough time to have errors and the result ended in something that I feel was slightly rushed and some of the errors are still occurring when I visit my website.
Looking back now I wish I could have perfected the start of my animation more thoroughly as although I was happy I almost felt that I could have maybe done better but I think that is something that I am just going to have to do in my own time now.

5 things that I would do differently are:
1. I would not go to Barcelona the week before a deadline just so that I had that extra few days to set aside any problems or technical faults.
2. I would perfect my IWEB so that all the buttons work effectively and maybe put a flash on them so that people know that they are active buttons.
3. I would experiment more with the audio in my animation and maybe think of something more appropriate and subtler maybe.
4. I would perfect the start of my animation and adjust the quality thinking about timing and storyboarding.
5. I would produce more test pieces from my storyboards so that I have more variation.
